Westfourstreet Announce MÓTUS Sponsorship as Part of MK50
We are delighted and excited to announce that we have sponsored the Milton Keynes based dance company, MÓTUS.
As part of our push to support the local, creative arts community in Milton Keynes our sponsorship of MÓTUS will see us offer our design and web services to the company and help promote them visually. Being a creative web design agency in Milton Keynes we feel passionately about the creative arts community in our city and after meeting with MÓTUS last month we knew right away we wanted to offer our support via sponsorship.
As part of the sponsorship, westfourstreet have agreed to supply branding as well as design, develop and host the forthcoming website for the ‘Home Sweet Home’ project.
The project is a collaboration between MÓTUS and Grid Arts (together with The Plays the Thing and The Gray Circle) who will both be producing and artistically directing the event.
MÓTUS is a celebration of all forms of dance across the city of Milton Keynes and also celebrates links with national companies which, to date include Theo Clinkard, Ffin Dance, Anjali and Motionhouse.
Funded by the Arts Council England, the festival aims to enhance and help continually develop all dance activity in the city. It is the celebration of physical expression and the individual. MÓTUS aims to engage anyone and everyone with a diverse programme of dance workshops, performances and opportunities for all abilities and ages.
Our sponsorship of MÓTUS is the second MK50 project we are now involved in. Back in June we announced our sponsorship of the MK50 Photography Project.
Milton Keynes Council have summed up exactly what MK50 aims to achieve –
In 2017 Milton Keynes will be 50 years old and we want to celebrate the past, present and future of this amazing city. Through a year-long programme of activities, we will celebrate Milton Keynes and its pioneers, creating shared memories and showing off its design, architecture, green spaces, culture and people. MK50 will provide an inclusive programme of events and activities at all scales, enabling people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to be part of the celebrations.
MK50 is an important milestone for Milton Keynes on the journey towards bidding to be European Capital of Culture in 2023, providing a platform to develop the arts and cultural landscape of Milton Keynes in readiness for this exciting opportunity.
All of us here at westfourstreet are excited and thrilled to be involved with the project and look forward to working with all those involved.
